Woman stabbed by husband near Thames street
Mrs. Malvina Mayotte aged about 20 told police she was attacked by Louis Mayotte on Thames street around 7 PM. She sustained a deep temple cut and injuries to head hands while fleeing toward her parents home. Doctor O R Siegel said injuries are not fatal. The couple have a one year old child. Mayotte is at large.

Burnside Lodge Knights of Pythias Honors Members
At the Burnside lodge weekly convention in Castle Hall a class of candidates was made Pages. Vice Chancellor T Edgar Sutcliffe received a gold emblem from G C Philip C Joslin for submitting the most applications. Public schools in town observed Grand Army Flag Day with a 145 PM march from Byfield School to Colt Memorial High School led by sixth to eighth graders, Babbitt Post No 15 G A R and martial music. Col John H Bailey Jr presided. Rev Dr A C McGilton gave a patriotic address and Supt George Minard spoke. Children sang patriotic songs and other schools held related exercises.
