LeRoy D. Bell of Warren was buried under a pile of lumber at the National India Rubber Company yard Saturday. He lost sight after a blow to the base of the skull and is at Rhode Island Hospital awaiting X rays and further evaluation.

Michael Callan Dies at 66 in Local Home
Michael Callan aged 66 died at his Borden avenue home Saturday afternoon after months of illness from multiple diseases. Born in Ireland he came to the United States as a child and worked many years at the National India Rubber Company. He belonged to St. Mary's Holy Name Society and is survived by his wife and four sons. His brother John Callan lives on Franklin street. Funeral mass was offered at St. Mary's Church with Rev. Francis Duffy officiating. bearers were Michael Quinn Daniel Quinn James Cashin and John Hart. Interment followed at St. Mary's Cemetery.
