Fifth District Court Drops Assault Charge Against Vargas
Acting on a Hammill recommendation Judge Lindemuth discontinued the assault charge against Frank Vargas 23 of 386 Brightman Street Fall River after payment of costs. Vargas was arrested Sunday after noon on a private complaint by William D Alessi of Reservoir Avenue. An earlier altercation on Congregational Street led to the dispute. A one week continuance was ordered in the Dr John H Lake Jr illegal operation case and in civil actions Laura Martelly versus A H Carr and Arthur Carr versus Laura Martelly. The replication writ in Robert F Edwards versus Salvatore Rinaldi was continued two weeks.
