Gas Explosion Fears Greenhouse Fire In Hope Street Cellar
About 10 o clock last evening R H Dunbar escaped injury after a gas explosion in the cellar of his Hope street greenhouse. He had entered at 9 25 to tend the furnace and, while lighting a match, the blast threw him to the floor. He felt only shock and reported no lasting harm. The gas may have come from leaking mains and Dunbar noted a similar incident two years ago. The blast covered him with mud as gas forced up through the cellar.
