Three Bristol men were submitted to Governor J Howard McGrath for approval to serve on a rationing commission governing tire sales after a Bristol Defense Council meeting chaired by A A Edmonds. The panel’s members were chosen at the Wardwell Lumber Co office with plans for district wardens and air raid signals outlined by B W Wall and Q Paul Herzig.
