A Christmas surprise party honored Corrine Ferreira on her 18th birthday at the Ferreira home 7 Williams Street. Guests enjoyed games, songs, refreshments, and seasonal decorations while Corrine received many gifts.
The YMCA hosts an open house on Monday from 1 to 6 pm with tours of the building and a schedule of activities including midget and junior boys basketball, girls and senior games, and a trophy presentation by Frederick S. Bartlett. Local leaders C. C. Cirillo Anthony Agatiello and Miss Gladys Brightman oversee the event while Newport visitors enjoy fellowship and a busy holiday program.
