Local Girl Scouts Hold Weekly Meeting in Bristol
Goldenrod Troop No 1 of the Bristol Girl Scouts met Wednesday afternoon in the John Post Reynolds School auditorium. The group reported rapid progress in selling Christmas seals and planned sales at the Community Revue next Tuesday evening. Rehearsals for Christmas parts were held for next Wednesday afternoon. The Clover Patrol met Monday to plan renewal, and the Handicraft Club plans a final Christmas meeting at Mrs Bartletts home this afternoon.

Barn Destroyed by Fire on Griswold Avenue
A late night fire destroyed a barn on Griswold Avenue owned by Com William L. McKee. Fire crews from four local companies fought the blaze, using 2700 feet of hose from Ferry Hill Road and a pumper to offset low water pressure. Damaged were wagons, a rock hostel, and farming implements, with an estimated loss of 1500 dollars. The cause was undetermined, with initial alarm by an unidentified arsonist. Fire officials noted the general alarm at 11 05 PM and recall at 12 25 AM.
