Bristol County Transportation Committee approves a plan by New Haven Railroad to add four trains next month subject to Public Utilities and Interstate Commerce Commission approval. The plan would end Fall River trains and Sunday service on Warren Bristol branch, replacing with motor coach connections from Warren to Providence and Fall River. The schedule aims for 14 trains daily between Providence and Bristol with hourly runs on many times and more frequent service during peak hours.
