The Bristol District Nursing Association launches its annual Christmas seal sale to fund tuberculosis work with seventy percent staying in town. Seals cost one cent and Health Bonds from five to one hundred dollars supplement donations. organizers include Miss Julia A Herreshoff and several local representatives.

Herbert B Burnham Jr of 65 Franklin Street won the cross country letter at New Hampton School for Boys. Coach Spencer presented the award at the banquet ending the season. Burnham managed the team and previously attended Colt Memorial High School as yearbook contributor and business manager. He was in the science club French club and on the honor roll, and served on the school newspaper board.

Bristol Man Killed In Auto Accident
John Silvia a World War veteran and Kearney Post member was killed when his truck was struck in Providence by a car driven by Daniel White. White, 30, faces manslaughter charges with $4000 bail set for a December trial. Silvia, 38, resided at 9 Bourne Avenue and worked for Seth Paull Company before delivering for Cooper & Sisson. He left that job Saturday and, with helper George Murphy, was making a delivery when the crash occurred on Putnam Street near Amherst Street. He died at Rhode Island Hospital. an inquest will follow pending medical exam.
