Mrs Irene Pederson discussed routines and home help Mrs Ella Farnum spoke on music and Mrs Julia DiCianni described toy choices that build coordination and learning. John L Burke showed a nursery school film and after the program refreshments were served in the kitchen.

Andre Dugo, an internationally known artist, designed the 1943 Christmas Seal issued to raise funds for the Bristol Tuberculosis Association. The seal, pictured a girl gazing from a window at Santa Claus in the sky, went on sale last Saturday and runs through Christmas.

Mr Dugo born in Szolnok Hungary showed artistic promise early. He studied architecture in Budapest but turned to painting self taught after a sixteenth year in Paris.
