Fatal head on collision on Totfisset road

A 13 year old girl Mary Bryant Moriarty of Fall River was killed instantly in a two car crash on the Totfisset road near South Swansea depot. Her mother Mrs Mabel W Moriarty and others were seriously injured. The other car owned by Abraham Tickozen carried seven people who escaped uninjured.

Beach Party Celebrates Latin School Redecoration

Mrs Dexter Thurber hosts a Beach Party at Ferry Hill home for about seventy Little Mothers League girls to celebrate the redecorated Latin School. They arrived by auto, prepared sandwiches and lemonade, swam and lounged on the beach, then enjoyed ice cream before rides home.

Surprise 18th Birthday Party For Alfred C. Koch

Alfred C. Koch of Colt Memorial High School and William M. Connery clerk received a surprise party from about 20 friends at his First street home on Tuesday night. The gathering included whist, singing, graphophone selections, and dancing with many birthday gifts for Koch.

Stanzione Held On Threat to Assault Lumber Driver

Saturday Stanzione long familiar to the Fifth District Court was arrested by Chief Dwyer on a charge of threatening to assault Bartley Keegan, a Wardwell Lumber driver. After chasing Keegan on Wood Street the defendant displayed a knife and threatened to kill. Arraigned before Justice Brady, he pleaded not guilty and the case was continued to the Fifth District Court with bail posted by Carlo Simioli.

Providence Women's Relief Corps Visits Soldiers' Home

G F Brown Woman's Relief Corps of Providence visited the Soldiers' Home on Wednesday with about 30 members arriving by automobile. Captain Benjamin L. Hall welcomed them. They presented gifts of tobacco fruit and confections, toured the grounds, and offered an entertainment in Recreation Hall before departing about four o'clock.

First Bristol Troop Scouts Head on Six Day Rhode Island Ride

The Cycling Corps of the First Bristol Troop RI Boy Scouts will start a six day trip to New Hampshire early Sunday morning. They plan to visit many scout troops, cook their own meals, and sleep in dog tents, expecting to return Sept 4. A Field Day and dam bake on Labor Day is being organized with a committee to finalize arrangements.

The Dreadnaught Hook Ladder and Hose Company sponsored a successful moonlight trip to Rocky Point. Steamer Saga left Ferry Wharf at 7 30 with 200 passengers and returned home by 12 30. Committee members were Del win Crowley, Robert Cooke, William Simmons, Rodney Simmons, and John Collard.
