Fire Chief Moses Moore’s Car Recovered
The Fire Chief Moses Moore’s car was stolen from Buttonwood street Wednesday night. A sighting at about 7 o’clock led to a police check that found nothing. Bristol and Providence police recovered the car on the outskirts of Providence around 8 o’clock last night. The keys were missing but all else was in order. Chief Moore thanks the local and Providence police for their handling of the case.

DAR To Observe Rhode Island Day

Annual Regatta Of Bristol Yacht Club Held Tomorrow
The Bristol Yacht Club hosts an open regatta tomorrow afternoon with a 2 pm warning gun. About twenty boat classes race across the bay for class prizes and pennants for top finishers. The event, first since 1941, is governed by North American Yacht Racing Union rules.

Planning Board Reviews Land Platting Ordinance In Barrington
The Planning Board spent two hours studying proposed rules for land subdivision to submit to the Town Council. Attending were Secretary Bosworth, Chairman Edmonds, and members Sylvia Gighe and Mathewson. Described were practices in Barrington Warwick and Warwick state law guiding subdivision controls. Car collision injures Joseph Donovan on Hope Street
Salvatore Matorano 25 from Camp Endicott Davis ville says oncoming head lights blinded him. His car struck Joseph Donovan of Echo Farm on Hope Street about 1025 P M Wednesday night. Donovan sustained back contusions and body abrasions. Frank Marshall of 107 Charles Street rammed them from behind. Both cars had minor damage. Patrolman Serbst investigated.
