Pvt Raymond Soucy of 12 Third Street is a member of the 361st Infantry Regiment 3rd Battalion. The battalion in the 91st Powder River Division earned the Distinguished Unit Citation for gallantry during a seven day battle near Livergnano on the Fifth Army front in Italy. It captured Livergnano, freed 70 prisoners and inflicted 350 enemy casualties while destroying weapons and equipment. Soucy’s wife Emily resides at the same address.
