Supervisor George O Brien of the Bristol Playgrounds announces a 32 mile long distance swim from Homestead to the Community Bath House at Burton Street Sunday afternoon. Entrants include Dorothy Conley Regina Farley Rose Gallagher Alice Murphy Fila Mae Lemaire Mars Mott George Mac Donald James Conners Anthony Almeida John Barrows Svilsial John Pacheco Manuel Ross Almeida Roger Rillan and others from the town. Start is 12:30 pm with finish expected under three hours. Spectators should be at the bath house by 3 pm and entrants with representatives at 11 am at the Church Street wharf aboard the Harvest steamer for transport to the start. Skorts accompanying swimmers must be at the Church Street wharf before 10:30 am. Crowds are expected near the bath house to witness the finish. Silver cups donated for winners are on display at Watham HH Buthingtons Pharmacy Hlope Street.
