Fire Laddies Hold Annual Outing at Mount Hope Bay

More than 100 members of the Hydraulion Engine and Hose Company and guests attended the outing at the Howe Farm on Mount Hope bay shore. Chowder served at 1 pm and a bake at 4 pm. A baseball game featured a win by a team captained by Robert J Anderson over Harold Manchester, 22 to 14, with Manuel Francis and Joseph Marshall as stars. The tug of war and field events produced multiple winners and top place finishers, and the arranging committee was led by Robert Jo Anderson with Gordon Brown and others assisting.
