Mary Jane Wood Celebrates Ninety Third Birthday in Warren
Mary Jane Wood celebrated her ninety third birthday today at 21 Federal St Warren. A Bristol native who lived there until recently she reflected on a long life marked by good health and charity work. She attributed longevity to fruit and vegetables with modest meat portions and recalled forty years as an inspector at US Rubber Co. She and her brother Joseph S Wood once lived in Bristol and moved to Christena’s Convalescent Home. Her family roots trace to Scalbridge England and she remains linked to local groups including the Ivy Guild and St Michael’s Church charity drives.
