Lieut. Franklyn H. Springer of Company C, 62nd Regiment, Infantry US A, has been wounded in France after eight months overseas. His mother, Mrs. John C. Springer, 84 Burton street, received a cablegram reading Wounded, doing well. He is a Colt Memorial High School and Rhode Island State College graduate who attended Plattsburg Officers' Training Camp, leaving a year ago yesterday.

The Ford delivery truck stolen from the Narragansett Rubber Company on Aug 5 was located Tuesday afternoon by Tiverton Chief of Police Thomas Dwyer. Jesse Silvia 18 of Bristol and Luigi Cannavaciuolo were arrested and charged with larceny. bail set at 1000. Hearings set for next Monday in Fifth District Court.
