War veterans honored at Babbitt Post 15 reception

Albert Luther one of the oldest G A R members at Babbitt Post 15 was honored with a Friday reception at G A R Hall by Babbitt Post and Relief Corps. The 81st birth anniversary of Comrade Luther and the anniversary of Commander George H Peck were celebrated with bouquets, piano solos, speeches by Larra Dixon Peck Wheaton and others, and a supper served by the Relief Corps.

Local Tennis Club Defeated In Court Match Event

Edgewood and Excelsior clubs clashed on Saturday at Excel sior courts. Williams and Page led Excelsior with strong singles and doubles play, including Vose and McAuslan securing a decisive doubles win. Williams beat Francis 6-2 6-1 while Page beat Nelson 4-6 6-1 6-2.
