New Bituminous Macadam Road Planned in Bristol
The State Board of Public Roads voted to lay a bituminous macadam highway on Hope street Bristol from Franklin to Constitution to connect with the road on Franklin street. It may not be built this season due to excavation for a six inch main on Hope street Bradford to Johus. Comrade James McLaughlin Dies at Soldiers' Home Hospital
Comrade James McLaughlin of the Soldiers' Home died in the hospital connected with the institution yesterday afternoon at about 4 o clock. He was 77 years old and had been admitted from Providence on May 11, 1906. He served in Company Y, Third Massachusetts Heavy Artillery during the Civil War. The body was moved to his home at 94 Penn Street, Providence, last evening, where funeral services will be held.
