Fifty Organizations to Take Part in Competition
More than fifty musical groups in Rhode Island Massachusetts and Connecticut received invitations to compete in the third annual fife drum and bugle corps contest sponsored by the Bristol Boy Scout Bugle and Drum Corps. The event on Sunday August 25 at Guiteras Field follows Rhode Island Fife Drum and Bugle Corps Association rules with medals and prewar trophies for corps winners. The annual bazaar of St Marys Parish closed Saturday after a week of fun for all ages. A free act daily and a Saturday matinee for children accompanied booths selling snacks and specialties.
