Seashore along Colt Drive near the Lindemuth cottage offers a private access for bathing with town road partly public and land privately owned. On Friday No Parking signs blocked entry, sparking debate over privileges and need for clear rules to allow safe, unrestricted bathing while preserving private property rights.
A long list of local guests visiting Bristol and area residents, including Nb Miss Helen Wilson from Toronto staying with the Steens, Misses Graham and Bradford back from a West coast trip, and several families visiting relatives in Maine and Gardiner. Community events cover a Cup Defenders Association meeting, a Model Grocery outing, a Baptist Sunday School picnic, a Ko tapy Club meeting in Mass, and a Hawaiian Luau hosted by Miss Rhoda Low with eighty guests at Ferry Hill.
Highland Highlights records several hosting events with guests from Providence Edgewood Mt Vernon Bronxville Westfield and Hartsdale. Families include the Harrisons Freeman Kelley Brodericks and MacDonalds with visits lasting weeks to the season. The Pierce Brown Home children enjoyed an annual outing hosted by Mrs Freeman with a picnic lunch.
Mr Bu Mrs Charles Yotlen Jr and others sailed from Providence to New York for the World’s Fair and are due back tomorrow. Breder Heke Garvin of the Industrial Trust Company takes a two week vacation. A Holy Name Society meeting at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church is set for Wednesday evening to discuss the clambake.
