Council May Act On Prof Barrow's Bill At August Session
The August council meeting in the Burnside Memorial Building may consider a 23948 bill owed to Professor H. K. Barrows for services after the February 13 1936 sewage plant explosion. Barrows and two assistants inspected Britistal and billed 12270. a March 2 conference billed 11678. The Sewer Commission and Budget Committee have delayed action pending council guidance and solicitor Hammill's status. Also on the agenda is a Hope Street parking extension request from 7 pm to 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Inspector Otis M Bailey may present a list of buildings not meeting fire laws, though he plans to notify owners first and allow remedy.
