Hill Burton Hospital Bill Aids Bristol County Ties
Congress passed the Hill Burton Hospital Bill enabling $375 million in federal aid to cover one third of new hospital costs with two thirds from sponsors. It targets better local medical care and veterans needs under home town facilities, potentially benefiting Bristol and Bristol County if signed by President Truman. Local urgency urged timely application before funds exhaust.
