Roswell S Bosworth of Bristol sang baritone solos and Gilmore spoke on The Task of the Church of the Present Day. He urged focusing on children, church leadership, and wholesome community life, warning against dancinghall escapades. Twelve year old Albert Del Toro of Catherine Street slipped while cutting a banana stalk in his father's shop. He fell and the steel hook pierced his right arm. Dr A F DAngelo treated the wound with eight stitches at his office.

Full-Bred Bloodhounds at Rhode Island Show
The 27th annual American Kennel Club all breed dog show opens Sunday August 23 on Senator Vanderbilt’s estate in Portsmouth Rhode Island. Leon F Whitney owner of White Isle Kennels New Haven displays bloodhounds praised for tracking skill, with two dogs noted for long trail success. Man and Son Involved in Auto Crash on Hope Street
August Mello and his twelve year old son of 55 Court Street were badly injured when their auto skid on Hope Street opposite the Bristol Casino. The father suffered a broken jaw facial lacerations left limb brain contusion and dental damage. the son a brain concussion and jaw dislocation. Passengers Henry Seyer and Joseph Estrella were uninjured. They were treated by Dr. William L. Serbst and taken to St Joseph's Hospital Providence in the Colt Memorial Ambulance.

Fifth District Court Sets Punishment for Property Vandalism
Frank Andrade and Salvatore Vento were sentenced to ten days in Providence County Jail and fined 25 dollars for tearing 13 pickets from Duncan Langdon’s fence on Ferry Hill. Water Carnival in Bristol Harbor Saturday
The Bristol Branch of the United States Volunteer Life Saving Corps hosts its 11th consecutive water carnival in Bristol harbor on Saturday. The event features a 3 ½ mile dory race with undefeated oarsmen, plus short and long distance swimming diving and life saving medals for Rhode Island residents. Wilfred Gladue or Wilfred Lemaire will steer the boat Manuel Cardoza the stroke and Philip Gladue the district commodore will be present.
