Warren Old Timers beat the Dreadnaughts 4 to 2 on Bristol Common last evening in a late rally. Key plays included Simister’s all around effort and Gladue’s bat and glove for the losers. A notable double play by Gladue at the plate followed LaFlamme’s third and Morrissey’s on base. The game featured Simister stealing second and driving in a run, and Howie Martin’s clutch two-base hit to right scoring Stockton and Sapaste for Warren’s fourth run. The two clubs meet again next Thursday at Jameil Park with Warren favored after the suspenseful win.

Bristal Knights Hold Annual Outing and Clam Bake
The Bristal Council No 379 Knights of Columbus will host an outing and clam bake Sunday August 13 at Peleg Franeess farm in Rehoboth same location as last year. Cars leave Bristol about 10 30 with chowder served at 1 and the bake at 4 a baseball game is planned with Robert J Connery as committee chairman. Final arrangements to be set at the Columbus meeting next Wednesday evening.

Successful Excursion From St Elizabeths Parish Boat Trip Details
The Warwick steamer carried nearly QW persons on a church excursion Tuesday along Church street wharf to To nnock with stops at Fall Rivers Newport and Rocky Point. Music by the Bristol Portuguese Independent Band. Sailed up Mount Hope Bay to Newport, reached Rocky Point at noon, spent the afternoon, left Rocky Point at 5 and returned home by six.
