Man Arrested in Forgery Case for 25 Dollar Check

Samuel S Katz of 38 Bourn Street was arrested by Bristol police after Medieros and Bernard grocers reported a forged 23 dollar check issued to Katz and signed by Luke H Callan. Katz allegedly cashed the check viaJoseph Sousa and Medeiros Bernard. He was held on 1000 bond and committed to Bristol County Jail for the Fourth Criminal Court action.

Masonic Outing Features Park Events and Chowder

The annual Masonic outing at Midwais Park drew many attendees with a chowder meal prepared by James Mira Masons. Athletic events included 30 yard dash races, three legged race, sack race, candle race, and various novelty challenges with winners listed, while a bean guessing contest ended in a tie between Miss Jo Ploud Huestis and Mrs Eugene Roone.
