Bristol County May Get New National Guard Unit

Warren and Bristol may host a new National Guard company under a War Department expansion. A 118th Engineers Company C is planned for Rhode Island with 66 enlisted men and three officers, but Warren is favored as Bristol already has Battery C, 23rd Coast Artillery with 56 men and three officers.

Wanderer Tries to End His Life in Bristol Harbor

A self described wanderer named Peres T Brown arrived in Bristol aiming to end his life. He leapt from the old Sugar House into the harbor but was rescued by fishermen Biagio Sicuro and Frank Cavalheri. He was taken to Bristol County jail for police inquiry.
