Hospital Act Amended Extends Towns’ Hospital Funds Power
An amendment to section 4 of chapter 46 of the General Laws gives all towns in the state the right to appropriate money for hospitals. Proposed by Speaker Frank H Hammill as a substitute for House Act 808, it clarifies funding for the Rhode Island Hospital and Bristol’s earlier act. The amendment states funds for hospital use are to be expended under limits and conditions set by the Town Council.

Bristol Woman Sued Over Estate Funds
Miss Sarah F. Wood of Bristol is defendant in a suit filed Monday in the Superior Court in Providence by the Industrial Trust Co. administrator de bonis non of the Marcy A. Wood estate. Expensive Peddling Case Faces Local Court Fine
Russo Alesia was arrested Monday afternoon by Patrolman Henry Serbst and pled guilty Tuesday morning before Judge F H Hammill in the Fifth District Court to peddling without a license. He was fined $15 and costs totaling $21.80. Chief Thomas Dwyer says the police intend to stop unlicensed peddling.

The Runaways at Pastime Theatre Delight Crowds
