About 40 Bristol retailers gathered at the Hotel Belvedere to address unemployment and commerce concerns. Officers were elected: F. M. Dimond chair. Max Makowsky vice chair. Albert A. Edmonds secretary. Edward D. Kunz treasurer. A large committee will consult Col. S. P. Colt on the job issue and a separate group will tackle peddler problems. Budget for local advertising set at 50 dollars. A membership committee was formed and next meeting set for May 9.

Burnside Memorial Commission Hears Plans for Hall Cleanout
The Burnside Memorial Commission met Saturday at 3 in the Burnside Memorial building. Five of eight members attended. A committee of Giles S Congdon and Mrs William P Gladding will supervise a thorough cleaning before the hall is transferred to memorial use. William L Manchester will ask the Town Council to designate the hall as a memorial space only. Previously the room housed the Board of Tax Assessors and sometimes the police. After renovations the commission will catalog war relics and curios.

Miss Merriman Hosts Personal Shower for Edith Trotter
