Bristol Y M C A boys defeated York A C Fall River 42 23 as Keating led scoring with 7 fouls and C Blackman top scored for the Y team. Fall River girls lost 5 4 to N J A girls in an exciting intermission match with Hannah Murphy and Margaret Murphy standout.

The Rhode Island League of Student Nursing, with Red Cross and welfare groups, launches a statewide recruiting drive to attract young women into the student nursing programs. Troop 2 of the Boy Scouts of America held its weekly meeting voting on an application in favor and planning a rally next month for east shore district troops. Committees appointed include By-Laws P L Frank Francis and P L Walter Wennerstrand, Social Harold Wilson Ellsworth Munro Herbert Francis, Trees John Velleca Abraham Goldstein. John Velleca won mapping with Ellsworth Munro second and Earl Holmes third.
