School Committee re elects Connery Hobbs and staff
Robert J Connery was reelected President of the School Committee and Bertram W Wall was reelected secretary of schools. Superintendent William C Hobbs was reelected for another year with salary raised to 3000. Arrest of Arthur Roberts on forgery charge at Pawtucket
Arthur Roberts 33 of Central Falls arrested at Bristol Narrows on request of Pawtucket authorities. He was taken to Pawtucket, to be arraigned on alleged forgery charges. Roberts is also sought by East Providence Fall River and Connecticut on similar offenses. Fall River police allege he passed a 75 dollar worthless check for a trombone at Forest Music Store on South Main Street January 24, later pawned at Fall River Loan Company for 5.
