Father Walsh Named Spiritual Director
The Rev Clyde Walsh assistant pastor of St Mary's Church has been named spiritual director of a new diocesan community to be called the Society of the Brothers of Our Lady of Providence. The novitiate will be St Joseph the Worker Novitiate at St Paul's House in Our Lady of Providence grounds, Warwick. The group will open to men aged 17 to 25 with exceptions and training by seminary priests. Initial work focuses on seminary maintenance with later aims as an auxiliary to pastors. Walsh was ordained December 22, 1951, and has served St Mary's in this town since his ordination.
