Bristol Chapter D A R met in Bristol at the home of Mrs. Annie Wardwell Hope street with 23 members present. The Regent presided, reports given, no action taken, followed by a musical program featuring solos violin and piano pieces, a duet and a choral item. A vote of thanks was given to Mrs Colwell for arranging the entertainment.

Obituary of Col Joseph Blake Burgess
Col Joseph Blake Burgess a Bristol resident and former commanding officer of the Bristol Train of Artillery died at his home 69 Court street in his 79th year from a cerebral hemorrhage. He served at National India Rubber Company since 1869 and was active in choral groups and local politics. The funeral at the armory featured a Bristol Train of Artillery guard and floral tributes, with interment at North Cemetery after services at the armory.
