Inclement weather did not deter a large crowd at Colt High School for Parents Night. Demonstrations covered typewriting drawing penmanship painting domestic science manual training and agriculture with pupils' work highlighted.

Bristol Police Commission Bill Reported To Senate

The Bristol police commission bill, amended, was reported to the Senate by the judiciary committee. It will be placed on next Tuesday's calendar. The amendments allow voter election after the first governor appointed term and bar commissioners from holding other political positions in town or state.

Colt Memorial High Defeats Technical High 3 2 In Tight Tilt

The Colt Memorial High School team edged Technical High School of Providence 3 to 2 on a Tuesday afternoon. Ed die Garvin pitched a strong game for the Colts Allowing four hits and fanning 21. With better fielding a shutout might have been possible. The Tees sent 21 players, using two batteries and 14 men in the contest.

YMCA Motion Pictures End Season in Rockwell Hall

The YMCA announces the last fall and winter motion picture program at Rockwell Hall was held last Saturday. Weather conditions prompted the committee to discontinue entertainments for now. Plans include warm weather open-air shows and readying the rear lot of Rockwell Hall. further announcements will follow.
