Successful Soong Recital Highlights a Town Artist
Miss Juliette M Fish gave a pleasing song recital in Blackstone Hall Providence last Friday evening assisted by Mrs Josephine Foster cello and Mr S Howland Pitman reader under Mrs Raymond Wesley. The programme included Meet Me Love O Meet Me and The Land of Dreams among others. Fish sang with excellent voice and was praised for her varied numbers while Foster's cello and Wesley's piano accompaniment were noted as features. The performance attracted a fairly large audience and provided a satisfactory entertainment.

Fire Department Benefit Whist for Bristol Helpers

School Committees Meeting Holds Regular Session
The regular monthly School Committee meeting saw all 14 members present. Edward Talbee and Wim Mitchell were elected janitors for Bufield and Walley buildings with same salaries as last year. East Primary School may open on State street with Miss Cora Hill as teacher at 750 per week if town council arrangements allow. Total expenditures to date reached 2 740 35. bills totaling 12 009 were approved for payment.
