NEW COLONEL FOR BRISTOL TRAIN OF ARTILLERY
The Bristol Train of Artillery held its annual meeting at the State street armory. Arthur W. Barrett was elected colonel with Stephen W. Bourn as lieutenant colonel and William H. Gardner as major. New officers include John J. Phair captain and Nathaniel W. Sparks lieutenant, plus sergeants and corporals. The group plans to attend the UTA Providence anniversary on April 22, leaving at 2:15 p.m. for the parade and banquet, and will also join St Mary's Fife and Drum Band on April 23. A June festival was proposed. Col. Barrett will host members after the meeting, and Barrett's serenade followed the vote.
