Autograph Fiend Strikes Boston Theatre Again

Reliance crew arrives from New York for cup defender

Twenty crew members of the new cup defender Reliance reached here from New York Sunday morning, led by second mate George Peterson. They will stay at a Burton street boarding house and sleep in a cottage opposite Herreshoff Co. offices. The tender with remaining officers and crew is due later this week and will transport the here crew to the yacht. Most are Norway and Sweden natives with yacht experience. They spent yesterday polishing Tobin bronze plating on the underwater hull with emery cloth. Riveting and deck fittings work remains. Work on MT Plante’s steel centerboard schooner frames began in the north shop. Constitution rigging is finished and its tender is expected any time.
