Farm Bureau Visit to Urbana College Farm Event
Peoria County Farm Bureau plans a trip for local farmers to the University of Illinois College of Agriculture and agricultural experiment station in Urbana on Tuesday June 18. The annual tour showcases soil treatment results, grain and fruit varieties, crop handling, animal disease sanitation, feeding methods, and more across the 1500 acre station and facilities housing 1600 cattle, horses, sheep, hogs, and a poultry farm. A change in C B and Q train schedules becomes effective Monday June 3. Train No 21 now arriving at 10 08 am will come at 9 45 am and No 22 now at 3 17 pm will arrive at 3 30 pm. Only these two trains will run daily and they will be mixed trains carrying mail freight and passengers. The outgoing mail will shift by twenty three minutes.
