Reed Thomas H. Reed longtime Bloomington resident dies at 83
Thomas H. Reed a former French Grove resident died in Bloomington June 16 1938 after a May 12 stroke. Born May 30 1855 in West Liberty West Virginia he moved with parents to Peoria county in 1856 married Suzie Burgess in 1875 to move to Bloomington in 1885. He worked with Chicago and Alton railroad until 1931 and served as McLean County deputy sheriff for six years. Surviving are his wife four children two in Bloomington two in Chicago five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Beauchamp returned home Tuesday morning after opening three weeks at Hot Springs, Ark., and one week in Tulsa, Ohio., at the home of her son Merle Carter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Symmonds and baby were Sunday visitors with their folks Mr. and Mrs. Homer Symmonds and Mrs. Mary Miller.
