Millbrook Grange Enjoys Rainy Day Tour in Peoria

Members of Millbrook Grange toured Peoria visiting Princess Peggy Inc. and the Commercial National Bank where they held a $100000 bill. They watched journal production, appeared on Wayne West's show, and noted grange halls' role in community life and service projects.

Paul Lottman Promoted to Petersburg Beardtown Manager

Paul A. Lottman of 912 West Park Avenue, a commercial staff engineer for the Illinois Bell Telephone Co, has been appointed manager for the utility in Petersburg and Beartstown. The Springfield manager D Parker announced the appointment. Lottman began with the company in October 1939 in Peoria and has served in Alton and Springfield before military duty in 1941. He returns as service engineer in Peoria and Champaign prior to this February 1954 appointment. He leads commercial matters in Petersburg and Beartstown with his wife and three children.

Ruth McNay Weds Texas Man in Presbyterian Chapel

Ruth Maude McNay daughter of Mr and Mrs William A McNay Geuston Texas married Robert Bruce Gray son of Mrs E V Gray and Coronedl G A Gray of San Antonio Texas on Saturday June 4 in the Chapel of the First Presbyterians Houston. The Rev Joseph G Band officiated. Attendants included Matron of Honor Mrs Kenneth Keily Miss Ruth Andersen and Miss Clara Gook Gribble. Best man was Glifford A Gray and groomsmen Joseph Watt and Bill McNay. The ceremony featured white gladiolas and candelabra with a carved mother of pearl bouquet for the bride. The couple planned a west Texas trip after a reception at the bride’s home. Mrs Gray wore a light blue suit. Mr Gray is a Rice Institute engineer with Atlantic Oil Co.

Wilma Peters Weds Robert Shipley in June Church Ceremony

Miss Wilma Peters daughter of Mr and Mrs Marry Peters Oak Hill and Robert Shipley son of Mr and Mrs Dean Shipley Princeville were married Sunday at St Paul s Lutheran Church. The Rev Elwood Tolch officiated. Music by Shelby Ousivant and Hariene Startzint accompanied by Lore’s Prayer. Ushers Henry Peters and Harry Peters Jr. Best man Everett Peters. Bride wore a chapel length tulle gown with embroidered bodice and bouffant skirt. Maid of honor Della Shipley in light green carried pink carnations. Reception in church basement. Mrs Shipley later wore blue green dress with pink Carnation corsage. Mr Shopley employed by Admiral Co in Galesburg. They will live near Knoxville.
