Suspect Held In Boy Slaying In Sioux City
Sioux City detective Lt Harry J. Gibbons says they have the right man in the abduction and death of eight year old Jimmie Bremmer. The itinerant salesman, described by Police Chief James O Keefe as psychotic and homosexual, declined to confirm knowledge of the death. He admitted talking to Jimmie on Aug 31 and was previously questioned. The body was found in a pasture four miles from the boy s home after a month long search. Authorities are comparing with a Maine case of a 12 year old vanished boy. No charge has been filed. The suspect had recently been at Cherokee State Mental Health Institute for psychiatric treatment. The coroner says the boy s head was crushed and no weapon was found.
