Ridgefield Repairs Filter Beds For Sanitary System
Ridgefield, Nov 22. Contractor O W Holmes begins extensive repairs at borough filter beds to improve sanitation. Thirty six men build catch basins four new manholes eight gates each, sheds leveled, old soil renewed and gravel spread. Next spring a new settling sept tank system will be installed. The old system caused noxious odors and state health officials urged repairs or suit. Henry I Beers estate served notice last summer. Local officials expect relief once conditions are eliminated.
