New Heart Operation Gives Patient New Lease On Life
In Bridgeport Hospital surgeons repaired a rheumatic mitral valve in Mrs Lillian Friday of Stratford. The Nov 5 procedure opened a scarred valve and eased blood flow, a sixth such success in two years. Mrs Friday’s condition had threatened lung complications and shortened life expectancy. She moved to Bridgeport after her husband, a GE draftsman, was transferred from Schenectady.
