Woman Notable in G. A. R. Dies on Anniversary
Adeline Wallenta a 76 year old Bridgeport resident and prominent in G A R circles died at home on the anniversary of her husband Prank Walenta's death. She served as national corresponding secretary of the Ladies of the G A R in 1898 09 and was past president of the Connecticut department and Lincoln Circle No 4. She was born in Germany July 6 1847 and came to the United States as a child. She leaves five of her 12 children: Florence Grabber Nellie Wallenta Fred G Robert D Wallenta and Frank J Wallenta of Memphis. The funeral is from her home tomorrow at 2 30 pm with Rev Ernest Crafty of Christ Episcopal Church officiating. Interment Lakeview Cemetery.
