Woman in Reid case heard from as suspect vanishes
New York May 19 Assistant District Attorney Frank Oliver was notified that William Fallon will produce Mrs Hazel Davis Warner the woman in the shooting of John H B Reid a wealthy lingerie manufacturer. Mrs Warner is sought as a material witness. Reid was shot last Sunday and disappeared with Francis H Boylan and Miss Lila Wiley. Dan Collins the alleged shooter also vanished. Police have found no trace of him. Reid has moved from Fordham Hospital to a private sanitarium. Bail set at 6000 to secure his presence in court as a material witness. Detectives pursue theories of an underworld crime tied to Mrs Warner and possible rivalries with Collins. Authorities ordered the arrest of Alice Lila Wiley and Francis T Beylan on charges of felonious assault. Despatches from Toledo note a Reid portrait was sent to federal authorities. Grand jury testimony was described as highly important and sensational expected tomorrow.
