Boy Wounded by Improvised Explosive Found in Street
A Stratford boy, 12 or 13, was wounded by a combination found in the street after an accidental explosion on South Avenue near Brewster Street yesterday. Capture Second Santone Brother In Shooting Case
Joseph Santone implicated in the June 6 shooting of Albert Di Nicola behind Stavola saloon on Floweyspot Road Stratford was captured yesterday afternoon in Norwalk. State Police officer Frank Vivelli and Stratford chief William Nichols made the arrest after a tip, Santone cooperated on arrest and is held in Bridgeport county jail awaiting Stratford Town Court proceedings. His brother Jet? Gantone was also captured and bound over in town court on $5,000 bonds. Di Nicola remains hospitalized in Bridgeport with three gunshot wounds.

Singer Machinist Loses Four Fingers at Work
John Horman of 168 Reaview Avenue, a singer machinist at the Mant of the Singer Manufacturing Company on Tarnin Avenue, was injured when his left hand was caught in a running machine yesterday afternoon. Four fingers were amputated after emergency treatment and immediate surgery at Bridgeport Hospital following the incident. Horman attempted to clear a piece of wood in the gears without stopping the machine.
