Washington June 25 The second World War draft lottery will be held Thursday in the Senate office building with 800000 registrants’ numbers drawn from 1200 capsules. Secretary Baker will draw the first number at 930 am, the process to complete within about three hours.
An overturned alcohol lamp in a tenement at 1247 Central Avenue caused a box alarm at Central Avenue and Ord en Street at 9 36 PM. Engine companies No 6 and Truck No 3 with chemicals responded. recall at 9 40 PM. No damage reported.
