A man dies following a confrontation over a motorcycle while gangsters sought control on the street. Police investigated the fatal altercation as a criminal case with possible gang involvement and ongoing manhunt for suspects.
Gangster loyalty blamed for death of Bester De Felici at 9 20 last night after a fight over a motorcycle in front of the Hot Dog Lunch on East Main street. De Felici was knocked down by a gang member with a blunt instrument as bystanders dispersed and witnesses vanished. He died soon after at St Vincents Hospital. Police reported no witnesses at the scene.
The Board of Education mourns Mrs Mary Foligu r g, the first woman school board member in Bridgeport, who led the Sunday night meeting after a short illness. Superintendent B Bieret Cot yiht recalls her valuable school career and nonpartisan knowledge. Caldwell recalls nominating her and notes the board’s regret at her death and the effort to honor her legacy.
Fairfield June 15 Special Thirty six customers arrested after a raid at Ash Creek Inn by Constable Artur Bennett. Fred netted two barrels of beer. Fred A Meade arrested and a man named Beridasport held on $299 bond in town court.
The Board of Education at Central High last night voted 21 appointments excluding Americanization and night school work. New posts include physics instructor at Warren Harding High and librarian at Congress High, with salaries from 1300 to 2700 dollars. assignments span Warren Harding Central Congress Wakefield and Shelton.
The New Haven railroad filed incorporation papers to operate motor buses in Massachusetts New York Connecticut and Rhode Island. Fairfield June 11 Special Final Johnson and Stanley seventeen batch of Worcester Mags were arrested this morning charged with possessing a stolen automobile. Constables Bennett and Fiwood stopped the car on the road and found no registration or license. They were held on suspicion and learned from Worcester police that the car was stolen. Johnson said he woke in a laundry and Scibinski, a student, is being held at the Third precinct until Worcester authorities arrive.

Joseph Farrell 29 of Malden Lane, a soda clerk, vanished from Lane's Confectionery on Saturday night.
