Day four injuries follow street accidents in city
Four persons were injured in accidents yesterday as city court fined 12 drivers a total of 580 dollars for motor vehicle violations. A six year old boy, Daniel Muraillo, was struck on North Washington avenue by Charles E. Goeppler and suffered probable skull fracture. A crowd attacked Goeppler as he sought aid, then he went to police. Sylvia Haplan was cut by windshield glass in a Grand street collision. Louis Langer Jr. drove a paper company truck in a separate street collision. Two youths on a bicycle were injured in a Kossuth and Seymour street collision.

Hartford July 19 Deposits in Connecticut savings banks for the quarter ending June 30 showed an increase of 36 963 421 45 over the deposits for the first three months of the year which were 443 865 607 45 according to figures made public today at the offices of Bank Commissioner John B Byrne Deputy Bank Commissioner Lester E Shippe, acting bank commissioner in the absence of Commissioner Byrne, called the increase remarkable and said that it indicated continued prosperity in the state and particularly for the wage earner and small business man.
