Jenkins Bros defend tax abatement stance in Bridgeport
Charles W. Barrington of Jenkins Brothers declares the company did not evade tax obligations and seeks Board of Apportionment and Taxation review after a 1920 assessment inflated by an accountant error. He notes the company paid the Common Council established tax and argues enforcement would exact an unjust sum, urging a fair review.
